Meet Our Leadership Team!
Michael Meier, Principal
Michael has been an educational leader in the Omaha metropolitan area for more than twenty years. He has founded schools and programs that have powerfully impacted students both in public and private settings. During his time in the Omaha Public Schools, Michael founded and ran the Independent Study Program in the district, providing hundreds of students with opportunities to learn and grow while working through life challenges. He joined Quest Forward High School as a social studies teacher in the fall of 2021, and assumed the directorship of the school in the spring of 2024. He has also served as a volunteer athletics coach for more than 40 seasons. Michael, his wife, and children share a motto of “Faith, Family, and Community,” expressing their commitment to serving Omaha’s diverse population wherever there is a need.
Sarah Earnest, Assistant Principal for Student Success & Culture
Sarah Earnest has been a proud member of the Quest Forward community since the school first opened in 2017. Before becoming an Assistant Principal, Sarah was a school counselor and a science/math teacher. With over 12 years of experience in education, Sarah’s focus is on problem solving and supporting students as they grow towards personal and academic excellence.
Robyn Warner, Assistant Principal for Instructional Leadership
Robyn Warner serves as the Assistant Principal for Instructional Leadership at Quest Forward High School. She brings nearly two decades of experience as a teacher, literacy facilitator, department chair, dean of students, assistant principal, instructional coach, and national education consultant.
Robyn is passionate about helping teachers create rigorous, relevant learning experiences that build student ownership and prepare young people for their futures. Her leadership approach is grounded in relationships, collaboration, clarity, and developing practical systems that turn a shared vision into meaningful classroom practice.
Robyn holds master’s degrees in Educational Leadership and Teaching, Learning, and Teacher Education. She was named the Nebraska Council of School Administrators Region I Assistant Principal of the Year in 2020.
James Troupis, Chief of Schools
James is the Chief of Schools, responsible for leading the development of our growing school network. He brings over 20 years of experience in education as a teacher, instructional coach, principal, district leader, and edtech start-up founder. James was the founder and principal of Gary Comer College Prep on Chicago’s South Side; with 100% college enrollment and city-leading ACT growth, he won the Ryan Award as the nation’s top principal. He was also the Chief People Officer at Noble Schools in Chicago and co-founder of OpenSeat, an organization that helps schools provide personalized, one-to-one, social-emotional support to students.
